You almost lost your hat in Lewiston, and you had your teeth brushed for the first time

After lunch at Wandering Gypsy in Wilson, we (you, me, mom and Olive) headed to the Artpark hiking trails in Lewiston. It was overcast, and the lower trail was sufficiently wooded, so we mostly stayed cool. We’d seen signs at the trailhead that the trail was closed past the Queenston-Lewiston bridge, and sure enough near the bridge a young man in a reflective vest who told us we had to go back. You slumped in mom’s backpack, and at some point your hat fell off. Just as mom noticed and said we had to go back (against which dad was preparing an argument), we saw the same young man coming toward us, your hat in hand.

Brushing your teeth

Your tooth has been in for a while now–it was overdue for its first brushing! As getting you to put things in your mouth has heretofore hardly been a problem, mom and I weren’t worried you’d object.
